The word "periodical" refers to a publication that continues to be published, usually on a regular basis, in multiple issues under the same title, such as a magazine, journal, or newspaper.
Articles from almost nineteen thousand periodicals are available in full text via NC LIVE. See also A to Z Online Resources Guide.
Information from magazines, journals, and newspapers can be useful for researching events and topics. See The Information Cycle1 for a perspective on the time factor.
The Library subscribes to some print periodicals for the use of the college community. However, if you are doing research, it is probably much more efficient and effective to search for articles on your subject in the databases provided by the library.Use the search above or visit our A to Z Index of Databases to select specific databases by name, subject, type, or provider.
